This is a remastered version of my original 2016 game made in Unity. The main purpose of this rebuild was to learn and experiment with Unreal Engine, while pushing the visual and technical quality of the initial prototype.
Development :
– Fully rebuilt using Blueprints, based on the First Person Game Mode template.
– Custom UI and Settings Menu with save system.
– Integration of the Enhanced Input system for modern input handling.
– Floating Dust & Smoke effect created using Niagara FX (particles & fluid)
– Utilization of Virtual Texture, Nanite, Lumen (because if learning UE let’s try those awesome features)
– Volumetric lighting for a good horror / puzzle game atmosphere.
– Support for both TSR (Temporal Super Resolution) and FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution), DLSS upcoming when build stop failing on UE 5.5 🙂
– Custom material setup to blend multiple materials together (basecolor / heightmap)
– Use of Megascan assets for realistic environments
– Tailored scalability settings to achieve the best visual/performance balance for this specific project.
– Usage of asset ID assignment & .pak files to deploy the game with updates / dlc capability
